November 14, 2024 11:00pm – President-elect Donald Trump has an ambitious agenda to reduce the size of the federal government, uproot the federal bureaucracy, and limit Washington’s intrusion into the daily lives of the average American citizen. Such goals have long been the aim of many a Republican executive, though few have managed to materially advance them.
Trump himself struggled to restrict the government in his first term, encountering significant resistance from entrenched executive agencies and congressional Republicans alike. Indeed, newly minted Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Co-Chief Elon Musk on Thursday reshared a meme commenting on Republican apprehensions toward budget cuts.
The president-elect’s second term, however, may see him make more substantial inroads in cutting federal bloat than the first time around. Here’s how he and his allies aim to rein in or eliminate federal agencies.
Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
After the election, Trump officially announced that former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and X platform owner Elon Musk would lead DOGE, a new federal agency with the sole purpose of reducing the size of other government agencies and eliminating waste.
“Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies – Essential to the ‘Save America’ Movement,” Trump said. The Executive Branch department will work with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to enact reforms and has an expiration date of July 4, 2026. Trump deemed a smaller government his gift to America for its 250th anniversary.
DOGE’s exact purview and authority remain somewhat unclear as of press time.
First Up: Severance packages
To limit resistance from federal employees facing the prospect of job loss, Musk has proposed granting federal employees generous severance packages to ease their transition out of public service. “We will reduce a lot of government headcount, but we’re going to give very long severances. Like two years, or something like that,” Musk said in October. “Look, just go do something else is what we’re going to say. And you’ll get paid for two years. So, you’ve got a lot of time to go and figure out something else to do.”
“The point is not to be cruel or to have people not be able to pay their mortgage or anything,” he added. “We just have too many people in the government sector, and they could be more productive elsewhere.”
Firing “rogue bureaucrats”
They won’t be exclusively amicable partings, however. Trump has long expressed frustrations over the so-called “deep state,” contending that federal employees actively obstructed or slow-walked his agenda during his first term.
Trump’s plan to eliminate the federal bureaucracy includes the reinstatement of a 2020 Executive Order he issued that permits the president to fire “rogue bureaucrats” and to maintain a physical separation of the Offices of Inspector General from the departments they monitor.
He has vowed the mass firings of “corrupt actors” within federal departments. While the move would primarily serve to reduce the influence of bureaucrats, it would doubly serve to reduce federal headcount, and could prove decisive in making major staffing cuts.
Moving departments out of Washington, D.C.
Among the major proposals is moving the mountain of federal agencies out of the Washington, D.C., area to both undercut lobbyists and decentralize decision-making. The prospect of a mandatory relocation outside the Beltway could also prompt an exodus of federal staff rooted in the area.
Thus far, few specific plans to move agencies have been floated. Relocation of the FBI from its current headquarters in the J. Edgar Hoover building, however, has long been a priority project, though the government selected a site in Greenbelt, Md., last year to build a new headquarters.
In March of 2023, Trump released an Agenda 47 policy video in which he indicated that up to 100,000 government positions could leave Washington.
Eliminating the Department of Education
During the campaign, Trump vowed to entirely eliminate the Department of Education, a longstanding goal of conservative politicians. His rationale for eliminating the department goes beyond merely reducing the size of government and comes as part of his plan to revitalize American education. “The long-term goal, but now it’s a short-term goal, of breaking up the federal Department of Education and redistributing its functions to the states,” Trump said in March of last year.
One of the larger federal agencies, its outright elimination would potentially be one of the single most substantive reductions of the federal government in recent decades.
Old-fashioned spending cuts
House and Senate Republicans continue to campaign extensively on government budget cuts, with House conservatives especially highlighting the lower chamber’s “power of the purse” as a means of exercising control over federal agencies.
House Speaker Mike Johnson struggled to extract spending concessions in the current Congress in light of the narrow Republican majority and the Democratic party-controlled Senate. The new Republican majority in the upper chamber, however, opens the door for conventional legislative efforts to reach the president’s desk.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune this week announced that the upper chamber would work with the House “to deliver on President Trump’s priorities,” including “streamlining the bureaucratic machine.”

November 14, 2024 11:44pm Just The News – In Congress, Donald Trump’s Attorney General pick Matt Gaetz was at the forefront in challenging the Justice Department and was a staunch defender of the former president, hinting at the role the firebrand could play in remaking the troubled federal agency if he is confirmed.
Gaetz rose to prominence defending then-President Trump and bashing the Justice Department during the Russia collusion investigation into the Trump campaign, frequently appearing on television and using his role on key committees to challenge the agency, which pushed the long-debunked “Russian conspiracy” narrative.
After Trump’s first term ended, the four-term congressman challenged the department on its handling of Hunter Biden probes and the investigation into the Trump assassination attempts.
President-elect Trump undoubtedly nominated Gaetz for these reasons, seeing him as an important defender and loyal ally to head an agency he felt was undermining him at every turn in his first term.
But, Gaetz will still likely face a tough confirmation battle and his nomination has drawn skepticism from Senate Republicans who will be vital to confirming him to the role.
When spurious allegations that the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia were being pushed by Capitol Hill Democrats, Donald Trump’s first attorney general, former Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, angered the president when he recused himself and allowed the department to appoint a special counsel to investigate the allegations.
Failure to verify
Rep. Matt Gaetz, along with Reps. Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes became the chief critics of the investigation and defenders are President Trump and his administration.
Throughout the investigation, he demanded special counsel Robert Mueller release any evidence of collusion obtained during his secretive investigation. When the final report came showing the probe found no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, Gaetz sharply criticized Mueller and pressed him in a hearing for answers about the foundations of his investigation.
Specifically, he criticized Mueller for the apparent bias of his team which pursued shaky leads on Trump but failed to evaluate the veracity of information in the infamous—and now discredited—Steele Dossier.
“Here’s what I am kind of noticing Director Mueller, when people associated with Trump lied, you threw the book at them. When Christopher Steele lied, nothing. So, it seems to be when Glenn Simpson met with Russians, nothing. When the Trump met with the Russians, 3500 words. And maybe the reason there are these discrepancies in what you focused on is because the team was so biased and pledged to the resistance. And pledged to stop Trump,” Gaetz told Mueller at the hearing.
After the Trump Justice Department appointed special prosecutor John Durham to investigate any errors in the Russia investigation, Gaetz criticized him for, in his view, failing to deliver a thorough probe. “For the people like the chairman who put trust in you, I think you let them down. I think you let the country down. You are one of the barriers to the true accountability that we need,” Gaetz told Durham during a hearing.
Congressional Democrats swept into power in 2019 and eventually launched the first impeachment against President Trump alleging he improperly pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to find political dirt on his opponent Joe Biden. Gaetz yet again became a key defender of Trump.
When Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who led the probe, held secret hearings behind closed doors and out of public view in a SCIF—a facility for hearing classified information—Gaetz rallied a group of House Republicans to rush into the room and disrupt the hearings. The group of representatives complained of the “Soviet style” process of the impeachment. Schiff would later be censured by the House.
Eventually that impeachment effort failed when Senate Republicans voted to acquit the president.
After President Joe Biden took office in 2020, Gaetz continued his criticism against the Department of Justice for what he called unfair treatment of Jan. 6 protestors that entered the Capitol and for stonewalling the Biden impeachment investigation.
Garland’s DOJ fueled “conspiracy theories”
Earlier this year, Gaetz pressed Garland on the several legal cases against Trump, asking the attorney general to provide communications between his office and local authorities that had charged Trump. Specifically, Congress sought any communications between Garland’s DOJ and either Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg or Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
Gaetz argued that any obstruction of the request would fuel the very “conspiracy theory” Garland sought to discount: that the Biden administration had coordinated with local prosecutors in the Trump cases. “The offices you’re referring to are independent offices of state—” Garland attempted to answer.
“You come in here, and you lodge this attack that it’s a conspiracy theory that there’s coordinated lawfare against Trump. And then we say, ‘Fine, just give us the documents. Give us the correspondents, and then if it’s a conspiracy theory that will be evidence,’” Gaetz interjected. “But when you say, ‘Well, we’ll take your request, and then we’ll sort of work it through the DOJ’s accommodation process, then you’re actually advancing the very dangerous conspiracy theory that you’re concerned about,’” he continued.
Gaetz’s critical history with the Justice Department leaves little room for doubt that the now-former representative would seek to overhaul the agency and pursue the “retribution” at both the DOJ and FBI that Donald Trump promised on the campaign trial.
“Fully committed”
The choice has reportedly rattled DOJ officials, especially those involved in the prosecutions against Trump, which have wound down at the federal level as the former president prepares to take office again in January.
One thing that Gaetz is almost certain to do is be fully committed to implementing any Trump policies at the department, a mission that stands in contrast to his Republican successors, which acted in more independent ways from their chief executive.
Close Trump ally and transition team member Mark Paoletta said that rank-and-file DOJ lawyers should be “fully committed to implementing President Trump’s policies or they should leave or be fired” in a post to X.
Paoletta also warned that the new Trump team would not accept any attempts by federal bureaucrats to thwart the agenda of the incoming administration.
Gaetz appears likely to face a tougher confirmation that other nominees. Several Senate Republicans, necessary to confirm the former representative, have expressed doubt about Gaetz’s ability to achieve the required support in the chamber. Losing the support of more than three GOP senators would doom any one of Trump’s nominees.
“It’s simply that Matt Gaetz has a very long, steep hill to get across the finish line,” said Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.C. “And it will require the spending of a lot of capital, and you just have to ask: if you could get him across the finish line, was it worth the cost?”
“It’s going to be very difficult,” said Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla.
Some Senators have expressed concerns about the yet-unknown findings of a House Ethics Committee probe into Gaetz said to involve sexual misconduct and illegal drug use allegations. Gaetz has vehemently denied all of allegations that have been reported publicly. Now that Gaetz has resigned from the House, the committee no longer has jurisdiction to to continue the probe.
The Chairman of the Committee, Rep. Michael Guest, R-Miss., said Thursday that the findings of the report would remain confidential. Still, some Senators say they want to see the ethics report before voting on whether or not to confirm Gaetz.
Sen. John Cornyn, R-Tex., said he “absolutely” wanted to see the findings. Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Thom Tillis, R-N.C., both told NBC News that they believe the findings will come out one way or another and have bearing on the confirmation process.

“This administration, led by someone who claims to be Catholic, funds the abortion of a million babies annually in the U.S. and promotes it abroad,” Pineda declared, emphasizing the stark cultural divide.
He also accused USAID and the U.S. State Department of pushing political agendas rather than genuine development. Instead of fostering growth, these institutions, Pineda said, fund NGOs that hinder agricultural and economic progress under the guise of environmental protection.
“They are not investing in development programs,” he stated, lamenting that most U.S. aid fails to reach its intended recipients.

Bipartisan Bill to Bar Hamas Supporters from U.S. Advances to Senate
November 14, 2024 JBN News – Two senators from both sides of the aisle introduced legislation on Wednesday to bar Hamas sympathizers from entering the United States.
While federal law already bars terrorists from entering the country, the No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act, introduced by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.) and Sen. Jacky Rosen (D., Nev.), cuts through any ambiguity by barring any “representatives, officers, members or spokespersons” of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and anyone found involved in the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel. It would also make them ineligible for any relief under current immigration statutes.
“Since January 2021, the Biden-Harris administration has released nearly 100 dangerous individuals on the terrorist watchlist into the country, as well as illegal immigrants from U.S. adversaries like Iran,” Blackburn said in a statement.
“This common-sense, bipartisan bill would ensure that no migrant tied to Hamas and the horrific terrorist attack on October 7 is allowed to enter our country or receive immigration benefits on the taxpayer dime.”
The bill was first introduced in the House last year by Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) and passed there with a 422-2 vote. Unsurprisingly, the two no votes came from anti-Israel “Squad” members Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), who called the bill “redundant” and biased against Arabs.
“H.R. 6679 is unnecessary because it is redundant with already existing federal law. It’s just another GOP messaging bill being used to incite anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Muslim hatred that makes communities like ours unsafe,” Tlaib said.
As it did in the House, the historic motion is likely to pass in the Senate, sending it to either President Joe Biden or President-elect Donald Trump’s desk for approval or veto.

As YWN reported on Wednesday, multiple Iranian sources told Sky News Arabia that the Islamic Republic has postponed Operation True Promise 3, its plan to attack Israel directly for the third time, until it “negotiates” with Trump.
The sources noted that “dismantling the current Iran leadership structure” would effectively end funding to Iranian-backed groups targeting Israel and Jews, paralyzing their operational abilities.
The report emphasized that Trump’s pick for national security adviser, Rep. Mike Waltz, supports a “more assertive approach” toward Iran, quoting his statement to the Jewish Insider in September regarding the war in Gaza: “The United States needs to pressure Hamas and its allies in Iran. Unilateral pressure on Israel will not lead to a ceasefire.”
Yisrael Hayom also quoted Trump’s pick for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, who stated to US media outlets regarding the Iranian threat to Israel: “This is an existential threat to them, let them do what they need to do.”

At least ten people are injured and three others, ominously, are missing in Amsterdam Friday after rampaging mobs of Muslim migrants hunted down and beat Jews on the street after a soccer match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax Amsterdam. The establishment media initially cast this as a case of violence among soccer hooligans. The New York Times’ headline was “Violence Tied to Soccer Game Prompts Dozens of Arrests in Amsterdam.” But it was something much worse than that.
After being called out for the inaccurate and misleading nature of its coverage, the Times changed its headline to “Israeli Soccer Fans Injured in Attacks Linked to Antisemitism in Amsterdam.” That was better, but it still didn’t capture the full horror of the incident, which got so bad that Israel sent rescue planes for Israeli citizens in Amsterdam.
Dutch politician Geert Wilders had a more accurate assessment: “A pogrom in the streets of #Amsterdam,” Wilders said. “We have become the Gaza of Europe.” The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement, “The harsh pictures of the assault on our citizens in Amsterdam will not be overlooked. Prime Minister Netanyahu views the horrifying incident with utmost gravity and demands that the Dutch government and security forces take vigorous and swift action against the rioters, and ensure the safety of our citizens.”
That was going to be a tall order, as the attackers were Muslim migrants whom the Dutch government, like governments all over Europe, have welcomed in large numbers in recent years.

Even with JNS’ editing job, however, it was clear who the attackers were. Geert Wilders noted that they were “Muslims with Palestinian flags hunting down Jews.” The New York Post reported that “Israeli soccer fans were ambushed and brutally assaulted in Amsterdam overnight Thursday by gangs of anti-Israel thugs shouting ‘Free Palestine.’”
The Post added that video showed “one assailant who screamed ‘Free Palestine’ as a victim cowered in fear.” The video exists because, as the Israeli Embassy to the United States pointed out, “The mob who targeted these innocent Israelis has proudly shared their violent acts on social media,” which jihadis the world over have done in the recent past. “More disturbing video,” says the Post, “shows a victim surrounded by several people, including one that appears to be holding a Palestinian flag, as a prepetrator [sic] kicked him to the ground. A separate assault shows a victim lying on the ground as he is kicked repeatedly. A car also barreled into a victim, causing the man to flip over the hood of the vehicle.”
The embassy said that “the days of chasing Jews down European city streets should remain in the dark annals of history,” but obviously those days are here again. JNS reported that “the Israeli National Security Council stated in Hebrew that Israelis in Amsterdam should remain in their hotel rooms and avoid the street, refrain from wearing visible Jewish or Israeli symbols and notify Dutch police and the Israeli mission about any threat or attack. The council also advised Israelis to return to home, with more planes expected.”
Canadian politician Melissa Lantsman wrote: “The scenes from the streets of Amsterdam tonight are absolutely horrific. This is what ‘globalize the intifada’ looks like.” Yes.
Dutch authorities welcomed these migrants without giving a moment’s thought to what the implications of doing so might be for the cohesion and peace of their own society. Although hardly anyone is aware that it even exists and few among those wish to discuss it, Islamic antisemitism is deeply rooted in the Qur’an, which designates the Jews as the worst enemies of the Muslims (5:82), says that they are under the curse of Allah (2:88-9; 9:30), states that Allah transformed them into apes and pigs for their disobedience (2:63-6; 5:59-60; 7:166); and calls upon Muslims to make war against and subjugate them (9:29).
Obviously not all Muslims read the Qur’an and act exactly as it directs, any more than all Christians do with the Bible. Some do, however, and no government in Europe or North America has ever pondered the question of what it might mean for their countries to bring in large numbers of people who believe this way. Not only is this Jew-hatred in the Qur’an, but as The History of Jihad demonstrates, Muslim countries have behaved with singular hostility to Jews, contrary to the fond wishful thinking and myth-making of modern-day multiculturalist professors, throughout the history of Islam.
Yet most Westerners, in the Netherlands and elsewhere, have been convinced by this point that any critical word about the Qur’an or Islam in general is “Islamophobic” and evidence of some irrational prejudice. Many Europeans and Americans pride themselves on rejecting such “bigotry” despite having never cracked open a Qur’an or learning even the basics of Islamic theology. This uninformed naivete is endangering people, as the events in Amsterdam show yet again. Because this willful ignorance is near ubiquitous, however, what just happened in Amsterdam will be repeated all over the West many, many times in the months and years to come.

Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., the chairman of the House Administration oversight subcommittee, adds new intrigue to a debate that has gripped Washington for nearly four years: Why can’t the FBI with so much evidence and manpower identify the suspect who planted the explosive devices at the Democrat and Republican Party headquarters hours before the Capitol was breached.
“In the days and weeks following January 6, 2021, the FBI opened an investigation into the pipe bomber and attempted to identify the suspect by analyzing cell phone data linked to the area surrounding the RNC and DNC,” Loudermilk told Just the News.
“In June 2023, the former Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, Steve D’Antuono, who oversaw the pipe bomb investigation, said that the FBI received corrupted data from one of the cell carriers and that it most likely contained the identity of the pipe bomber. Given the significance of this information, my Subcommittee sent letters to the three major cell carriers, asking them to respond to Mr. D’Antuono’s claim of corrupted data,” he said.
“Every major cell carrier responded and confirmed that they did not provide the FBI corrupted data,” Loudermilk said.
“Additionally every major cell carrier confirmed they were never notified that the FBI had any issues accessing the data. This contradictory testimony raises some serious questions about the status of the investigation into the pipe bomber and about why the case remains unsolved nearly four years later,” he added.
Last year, D’Antuono told the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI did not a receive complete phone data from telephone carriers because some of it had been corrupted.
“We did a complete geofence. We have complete data. Not complete, because there’s some data that was corrupted by one of the providers, not purposely by them, right. It just — unusual circumstance that we have corrupt data from one of the providers,” D’Antuono testified in a transcribed interview.
“But for that day, which is awful because we don’t have that information to search. So could it have been that provider? Yeah, with our luck, you know, with this investigation it probably was, right,” he said.
D’Antuono served as the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office until he stepped down in late 2022. A lawyer for the retired agent did not immediately return an email Wednesday seeking comment.
The concerns about the unsolved Jan. 6 pipe bombs have been heightened by evidence Loudermilk disclosed in the last year showing that then-Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was taken within 10 yards of one of the live bombs on the morning of Jan. 6 because the Secret Service did not do a thorough security sweep.
In addition, Loudermilk also provided security camera video footage and still photos of the suspect holding a device that lawmakers believe was a cell phone, further making the phone data a potential case-solving piece of evidence.
Loudermilk sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray this fall demanding to know whether D’Antuono’s testimony was accurate and whether the bureau ever went back to the cell phone carriers to get a fresh set of uncorrupted data. Just the News obtained a copy of the letter.
“The Subcommittee requests that the FBI provide a response to Mr. D’Antuono’s claim that the FBI received corrupted data,” loudermilk wrote Wray.
The letter specifically demands that the FBI chief answer whether the bureau ever “inform the cell carrier(s) that provided corrupted data that the data they provided was corrupted or otherwise unusable.”

The bureau was able to obtain photographic and video evidence of the prime suspect, but have so far been unable to locate the individual, to the consternation of congressional investigators. A $500,000 reward for information about the suspect remains in effect, according to the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
The FBI declined to comment on the investigation.

The lavish spending, complete with a parade of A-list concerts and influencer contracts, ended up yielding little more than empty hype as Trump sailed to victory, winning critical battleground states and becoming the first former president since Grover Cleveland to reclaim the White House in a nonconsecutive term.
Harris’s fundraising spree brought in unprecedented amounts from wealthy Democratic donors, filling her war chest with cash from Silicon Valley titans like George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. And it sure didn’t take long to spend it. Harris’s campaign unloaded a jaw-dropping $880 million before Election Day, a campaign spending frenzy that included everything from ads and consultants to a celebrity-studded rally. The spending didn’t stop there: Harris’s team funneled over $2 million to Majic Productions, a Wisconsin event company, and dropped a cool $1 million on Oprah Winfrey’s production company for a single campaign event. To top it off, six figures went toward setting up a “stage” for a guest appearance on a podcast, which somehow was supposed to boost her credibility.
All of that spending for what? A flurry of high-budget rallies, influencer endorsements, and ad saturation that voters simply shrugged off. Trump’s far leaner campaign budget barely topped $354 million—a mere fraction of what Harris burned through—but it still carried him to a decisive win. While Harris was desperately trying to sculpt her image with pricey consultants and Hollywood fanfare, Trump’s familiar, no-frills approach clearly struck a chord with voters.

12 November 2024 DAILYMAIL.COM – Justin Trudeau has sparked outrage after refusing to release the names of 900 alleged Nazi war criminals who fled to Canada after the Second World War.
Jewish groups have called the decision, ‘disgraceful’ and say it dishonors Holocaust victims and survivors.
The Canadian government is concealing the list of names amid fears it could be too embarrassing for the country, TNC reports.
Large numbers of Ukrainian SS Waffen soldiers relocated to Canada following the war.
Officials said there are also concerns the list could be used as Russian propaganda against Ukraine amid Vladimir Putin‘s ongoing invasion of the eastern European nation.
The list of members of the Nazi-led SS Galicia unit was compiled by the Commission of Inquiry on War Criminals in Canada.
The panel then met with members of the Ukrainian community and ‘discrete group of individuals or organizations’ to consult on whether the names should be released.
But they did not meet with ant Holocaust survivors or advocates pushing for the list’s released, the Ottawa Citizen reports.
The decision was met with disgust from Jewish non profit B’nai Brith.
‘For decades, B’nai Brith & David Matas, B’nai Brith Canada’s senior legal counsel, have fought for full access—only to face endless delays and stonewalling,’ the organization said.
‘Canada is withholding hundreds of Nazi war-crimes files from the public. This disgraceful secrecy dishonours [sic] survivors and denies justice.’
Bernie Farber, who is the son of a Holocaust survivor and a past member of the Canadian Jewish Congress, branded the decision ‘a shameful blot’.
Jaime Kirzner-Roberts, senior director of advocacy and policy at the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre, also expressed anger.

Four Counties In MI Find Over 26K Votes Days After The Election—Several Seats Flip From Democrat To Republican, Including One MI House Seat By Patty Mcmurray
Nov. 11, 2024 10:15 am – On Friday, the state of Michigan, which arguably has the most untrustworthy Secretary of State in America, added 26,662 unreported votes to its unofficial vote total from four counties after canvassers reportedly discovered the stunning discrepancies.
Kent County, formerly a red county, discovered a whopping 13,795 unreported votes. Kalamazoo County, home to Western MI University and Kalamazoo College, discovered 6,691 previously unreported votes. Calhoun County blamed their discovery of 4,602 votes on a “software glitch.” When northern Michigan’s Leelanau County’s results were first revealed, it looked like Democrats had won almost every race, which would solidify the belief that Democrats were able to turn the popular vacation community solidly blue. But not so fast—days after the Nov. 5 election, 1,574 unreported votes were discovered that had not added to the original count, flipping almost every race thought to have been won by a Democrat to a Republican candidate.
In Leelanau County, several key races, like the three Leelanau County board of commissioners spots, showed Democrats sweeping Republicans at the polls. The important local drain commissioner, which previously showed the Democrat winning by a landslide, was flipped to give the Republican candidate a resounding victory.
We spoke with the newly elected drain commissioner, Tim O’Non, whose race flipped from Democrat Faith Hoekstra to Republican. Although Leelanau County claims they discovered 1,574 unreported votes, Timothy O’Non somehow picked up 1,736 new votes for a total of 8,736 votes over his Democratic opponent Faith Hoekstra, whose vote count currently sits at 8,093.
On Friday, Tim O’Non spoke with the Leelanau County Clerk, Michelle Crocker, who informed him that instead of losing his race, he was now winning by a small margin. Tim’s wife, Republican Trustee candidate Kerry O’Non, has now also been declared the winner of her race by ten votes, with 452 votes being awarded to Republican Jolyn Arins, whose new vote total is 458.
Michelle Crocker, the Leelanau County Clerk for decades, told Mr. O’Non that the tabulator had a “software glitch” and that the votes that would typically be uploaded into the final count didn’t happen. “She didn’t see any issues with their procedures,” Tim O’Non told us, adding that he respects the county clerk who has served for three decades.

Many of those accused of violent charges were simply protecting themselves and others. No officers were killed or permanently injured during the events, making the harsh sentences handed down to protesters seem, as one petition signer Maureen Steele said, “a complete betrayal of justice.”
Iran Turns to Chemical Weapons in War Against Israel
November 11, 2024 JBN News – Iran has developed a powerful chemical weapon based on synthetic opioids that can render entire units of soldiers helpless within minutes.
The US and its allies have warned for years that Iran is developing pharmaceutical-based weapons in breach of the 1997 Chemical Weapons Convention. A recent U.S. State Department report revealed that Iran’s Chemistry Department at Imam Hossein University attempted to acquire large quantities of medetomidine, a veterinary sedative, from Chinese suppliers in 2014. The quantity sought – enough for over 10,000 doses – far exceeded any legitimate research needs.
Further confirmation came in September 2023 when Iranian anti-government hackers leaked documents exposing details of an Iranian military university’s development of medetomidine-based grenades, according to the State Department.
Security experts warn that these pharmaceutical-based agents (PBAs) represent a new category of threat, distinct from traditional chemical weapons. When deployed, PBAs target the central nervous system, rapidly rendering victims unconscious.
Of particular concern is the potential distribution of these weapons to Iran’s terror proxies. Although Israel’s military campaigns in Lebanon have dealt serious blows to Hezbollah and its massive missile stockpile, PBAs remain a viable threat as they can be easily incorporated into hand grenades and mortar shells – weapons Hezbollah still possesses in large quantities.
“Maybe you just use them to incapacitate the border guards and reach the now unprotected civilians,” Matthew Levitt, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute, tells Business Insider. “Or, you actually target and incapacitate the soldiers so you can kidnap or capture them.”
“At a time of growing regional instability in the Middle East, largely the result of the militancy of Iranian proxies, the threats posed by Iran’s weaponized PBA program can no longer be overlooked,” says Levitt.
Levying sanctions on Iran’s import of PBAs is also extremely difficult because they overlap with products used for legitimate medical purposes.
The Islamic Republic should know better than anyone the horrific toll of chemical weapons, having suffered over a million casualties from Iraqi nerve gas and mustard gas attacks during the Iran-Iraq war. Yet Tehran has shown no hesitation in deploying these weapons themselves – first using mustard gas against Iraqi forces in 1987, then employing PBAs against Syrian rebels during their civil war, and most recently through their Iraqi militias who reportedly used chemical agents to suppress civilian protesters in 2019.

Israel’s military says it has discovered thousands of hours of sickening footage showing Hamas interrogators torturing innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
The harrowing videos show male prisoners with sacks over their heads, chained to floors and ceilings in painful positions.
Men writhe in agony as they are beaten with sticks on the soles of their feet.
In one distressing clip, a hooded man appears to be screaming and remonstrating with his captor.
The horrifying incidents appear to have been filmed inadvertently by CCTV cameras inside a Hamas military base in northern Gaza raided by Israeli troops earlier this year.

The footage was said to have been discovered on computers seized from the abandoned compound inside the Jabalia refugee camp. It is unclear why the men were being held.
But human rights experts have previously warned that innocent Palestinians have been kidnapped from their homes and tortured by Hamas thugs who have ruled Gaza with an iron rod since 2007.
Gay men and adulterers are among those who have been tortured by Hamas, along with political opponents and anyone accused of collaborating with Israel.
A time stamp in the corner of the footage suggests the torture took place between 2018 and 2020.
Often, the guards appear casually at ease, chatting as the abuse unfolds.
One interrogator reclines on a chair, with his arms folded behind his head, in front of a chained-up prisoner hanging from the ceiling by his arms.
Another film features a man, with a red sack over his head, chained up so awkwardly he can just about place one foot on the floor. One captor later appears to brutally choke the man.
A senior Israeli military source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The IDF found these CCTV images in March. It took months to go through them all.’ It has not been possible for the videos to be independently verified but human rights groups have long warned of abuses by Hamas against civilians in Gaza. Amnesty International published a 44-page report detailing a brutal campaign of abduction, torture and killings by Hamas against its own people following the last Israel-Hamas war in 2014.

Failure to provide voters a definitive answer on the outcome of any given race within the day of the election undermines voters’ faith in the process. Imagine, for instance, if the outcome of the 2024 presidential race came down to which candidate won Arizona. The incident occurred on the night of the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the ‘Night of Broken Glass,’ when Jewish-owned businesses, homes, and institutions were attacked and vandalized on the night of November 9, 1938.
Newsweek editor Josh Hammer wrote in response to the vandalism, “Every Jew in political circles has been to Char Bar before. I was last there just a few months ago. Disgusting and horrific.”
Char Bar was targeted in a similar attack in June 2020, when its windows were also smashed by unknown vandals. The perpetrators were never apprehended in the four years since the first incident.

DULUTH – A Duluth man known to struggle with his mental health this week killed his two sons, wife and ex-wife before shooting himself, police said Friday.
The killings were discovered when officers were called to conduct a welfare check Thursday afternoon at a house on the quiet 6000 block of Tacony Street in the West Duluth neighborhood, where Anthony Nephew’s ex-wife Erin Abramson, 47, lived with their son Jacob Nephew, 15.
Abramson, who worked for the city of Superior, Wis., had not shown up for work that day — which was uncharacteristic and a cause for concern among coworkers.
In the home, the woman and teenager were found dead from gunshot wounds.
Police then went to Nephew’s home, less than a mile away in the 4400 block of West Sixth Street, across from Denfeld High School. There they discovered the bodies of his wife, Kathryn “Kat” Ramsland, 45, and their son Oliver Nephew, 7.
Both had been shot to death, Police Chief Mike Ceynowa said during a somber afternoon news conference at the city’s Public Safety Building.
Anthony Nephew’s body was also at the home. He had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“For most of us, that’s the best end result. For millions of Americans, a breakdown leads to suicide — or homicide before suicide.”

Then during Ukraine, you told us that Ukraine was a bastion of Democracy, and that they desperately needed all of our tax dollars. Then it turned out that Ukraine is one of the most corrupt nations in the world, with literal Nazi military forces, and it was actually just a money laundering operation to steal from the American taxpayer. You want to defend Ukraine’s borders more than our own. You sent hundreds of billions of dollars on the other side of the planet, while Americans are suffering, all based on more lies.
Then there’s the whole Epstein, Diddy, human-trafficking element. You all told us VEHEMENTLY that human-trafficking was a myth, you told us the border was secure, and you told us that anyone who questioned it was an irredeemable & deplorable conspiracy theorist (and a piece of garbage). You said anyone who watched “Sound of Freedom” was a QAnon extremist and threat to democracy. Then it turned out to be true, and the elites really are engaged in unspeakable crimes against children. In March 2023, Trump posted his intent to move federal jobs out of Washington, D.C. among a list of other promises regarding the dismantling of federal bureaucracy.
“Continue Trump administration effort to move parts of the federal bureaucracy outside of the Washington Swamp, just like President Trump moved the Bureau of Land Management to Colorado,” the Trump campaign wrote.
“Up to 100,000 government positions could be moved out of Washington,” the statement said.
“As many as 100,000 government positions can be moved out — and I mean immediately out — of Washington to places filled with patriots who love America,” Trump said in a video breaking down his agenda.
The Federal News Network noted that when Trump moved BLM (Bureau of Land Management) jobs, more than 80 percent of those who held those jobs did not leave D.C.
Trump has tried to reform the federal workforce before.
Just before the 2020 election, Trump issued an executive order to create what was called “Schedule F,” which would reclassify the jobs of middle managers in the federal workforce.
Former White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley said then that Trump’s 2020 executive order was designed to remove “people in the bowels of the federal government working against this president” who pursued “their own selfish political agenda,” according to the Independent.
“It’s not a secret that we want people in positions that work with this president, not against him, and too often we have people in this government — I mean the federal government is massive, with millions of people — and there are a lot people out there taking action against this president and when we find them we will take appropriate action,” he said in October 2020.
A report in WUSA-TV estimates that however the concept of Schedule F morphs in a new administration, it might cover at least 50,000 workers.
“And to think 50,000 is the magic number is absurd because number one, that’s just the tip of the iceberg,” Everett Kelley, national president of the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest union representing federal employees.
“Our union members are very worried about that,” he said.
Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia said he is opposed to any workforce cuts, according to Virginia Business.
“My message to federal workers is I will be there to protect them, to protect their professionalism, to protect their careers,” Warner said.
“The idea is, well, Donald Trump claims to be a good businessperson. If he is, he would recognize that by moving federal workers all over the country, you’d lose vast amounts of experience, vast amounts of folks who know their jobs and do their jobs for Democratic or Republican administrations,” he said.

November 9, 2024 10:56am EST Fox News – A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) official who instructed Hurricane Milton relief workers to skip homes with Trump signs has been fired from her role, a FEMA spokesperson tells Fox News, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is investigating the federal agency over the controversy.
The FEMA official, who has not been named by the agency, instructed workers canvassing Lake Placid in Florida to “avoid homes advertising Trump,” as they ascertained what residents could qualify for federal aid, according to internal messages first obtained by the Daily Wire.
The Daily Wire reports that government employees told the outlet that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were bypassed from the end of October and into November due to the “best practices” guidance from the official. The houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote messages such as: “Trump sign no entry per leadership,” in a government system, per the outlet.

On Saturday, FEMA’s administrator on employee misconduct, Deanne Criswell, confirmed to Fox News Digital that the employee had been fired, calling her actions “reprehensible” and a clear violation of FEMA’s core values and principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation.
“We take our mission to help everyone before, during and after disasters seriously. This employee has been terminated and we have referred the matter to the Office of Special Counsel,” Criswell said. “I will continue to do everything I can to make sure this never happens again.”
A FEMA spokesperson told Fox News Friday that it is “deeply disturbed” by the employee’s actions and that it is an “isolated incident.”
“FEMA helps all survivors regardless of their political preference or affiliation,” the spokesperson said via a statement.
“The employee who issued this guidance had no authority and was given no direction to tell teams to avoid these homes and we are reaching out to the people who may have not been reached as a result of this incident,” the spokesperson said, adding that the agency has helped more than 365,000 households impacted by both Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida and provided nearly $900 million in direct assistance to survivors.”
“We are horrified that this took place and therefore have taken extreme actions to correct this situation and have ensured that the matter was addressed at all levels.”
WHITE HOUSE DEFENDS KAMALA HARRIS’ HURRICANE RELIEF ‘EQUITY’ REMARKS:
The FEMA agents were ordered not to help houses with Trump signs in Highlands County, a deep-red area located in south central Florida that was hit with tornadoes, torrential rain and flooding when the Category 3 Hurricane slammed into The Sunshine State in October. President-elect Trump won nearly 70% of the vote there on Tuesday.
DeSantis slammed the federal agency Friday after learning about the official’s actions and announced his administration will investigate FEMA over the incident.
“The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days,” DeSantis wrote on X.
“At my direction, the Division of Emergency Management is launching an investigation into the federal government’s targeted discrimination of Floridians who support Donald Trump. New leadership is on the way to D.C., and I’m optimistic that these partisan bureaucrats will be fired.”
U.S. House Oversight Committee and Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., also took aim at the agency, in particular for not firing the official.
He said it comes despite the IRS trying to force whistleblower Gary Shapley out of that agency. Shapley, an IRS supervisory special agent, brought claims of political influence in the Hunter Biden investigation to Congress, along with Joseph Ziegler, IRS criminal investigator.
“FEMA hasn’t fired this person… But the IRS has been trying to force IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley out for blowing the whistle! We must hold these unelected bureaucrats accountable,” Comer wrote on X.
“FEMA admits this happened but doesn’t say if the bureaucrat responsible has been fired,” the House Oversight Committee wrote on X. “Democrats relentlessly defend the rules that insulate unelected bureaucrats from accountability and make it nearly impossible to fire bad employees. This is why we need President Trump’s reforms to make bureaucrats accountable.”
Donald Trump Jr., the president-elect’s son, also blasted the agency.
“This is outrageous even for the democrats in charge and should be criminal,” Trump Jr wrote on X. “These people should be ousted from FEMA, Government and society! A full investigation is in order!”

Nov. 8, 2024, 8:35 p.m. ET New York Post – A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supervisor told disaster relief workers in Florida to “avoid homes” with signs supporting President-elect Donald Trump, the agency confirmed Friday.
The FEMA official — Marn’i Washington — conveyed her edict both verbally and in a Microsoft Teams chat used by relief workers canvassing Lake Placid homes ravaged by Hurricane Milton last month, according to the Daily Wire.
“Avoid homes advertising Trump,” Washington wrote in a “best practices” memo to employees.
The order was the second bullet point in a list instructing workers to not go “anywhere alone,” practice “de-escalation,” stay hydrated and to “follow the rules.”
FEMA employees told the outlet that at least 20 homes displaying Trump signs or flags — a common sight during election season — were passed between the end of October and into November because of the order.
“Trump sign no entry per leadership,” read messages left by workers in FEMA’s tracking system when homes were skipped because of the banners.
By ignoring the homes, residents were denied the opportunity to sign up for federal FEMA disaster relief assistance in the wake of the Category 3 hurricane’s landfall.
A FEMA spokesperson confirmed that orders to bypass the homes of Trump supporters were given, and said that the agency was “deeply disturbed by this employee’s actions.”
“FEMA helps all survivors regardless of their political preference or affiliation and we are deeply disturbed by this employee’s actions,” the agency spokesperson told The Post Friday night.
“While we believe this is an isolated incident, we have taken measures to remove the employee from their role and are investigating the matter to prevent this from happening ever again,” they added.

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis fumed over the incident Friday, arguing that it was emblematic of the Harris-Biden administration’s “weaponization” of government.

FEMA employees told the Daily Wire that Washington has not been punished for the guidance — and was simply shifted to a different Florida county. However, a FEMA spokesperson told The Post that Washington is “no longer working in the state of Florida or in any FEMA operations at this moment” pending the outcome of an investigation.
